Throughout this year, Los Cabos is seeing the addition of nonstop flights to its San Jose del Cabo International Airport (SJD).

US Airways has launched new year-round flight service to SJD from Charlotte, N.C. The flight will be available five times per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday). This new service complements its existing service from Phoenix to Los Cabos.

From Dec. 18 to April 16, 2011, Frontier Airlines will operate nonstop service from Kansas City International Airport (MCI) to SJD. The 99-passenger Airbus will depart MCI at 9:55 a.m. and return at 1:30 p.m.

Virgin America intends to launch new nonstop service to Los Cabos from San Francisco. The airline has filed an application for authority to fly to Mexico with the U.S. Department of Transportation. If approved, Virgin America will offer five nonstop flights to San Jose del Cabo weekly from San Francisco. Virgin America has not yet announced dates for the launch of its new flights.
