Last November, Las Alamandas Beach Resort announced the reopening of its remodeled Casa del Sol villa, which is located on the resort’s main, private beach. The exclusive beachfront hideaway is situated on more than 1,500 acres with only six villas accommodating a maximum of 30 guests. Las Alamandas is located midway between Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo along the Costalegre region of Mexico’s Pacific Coast.

Casa del Sol is the largest of the resort’s villas and consists of three separate and private accommodations including the resort’s Sol Presidential Suite.

Recent enhancements include upgraded bedrooms and bathrooms and the addition of outdoor Jacuzzis. Guests can rent one of the suites or opt for the complete package. If clients have the bucks to rent the villa in its entirety, they can enjoy the experience of having their own private, beachfront home with space for four couples or a family of 10.

Sol Presidential has a large master suite with a king-size bed, a large en-suite bathroom with an oversized tub, a separate double shower, a walk-in closet and a television room with a sofa bed. Just off the master suite is an oceanfront terrace with a private spa complete with a massage area and Jacuzzi. Sol Presidential also offers an additional bedroom with queen-size bed. In addition, the renovation has given the Sol Presidential Suite its own infinity lap pool with ocean views. The suite also has an area for al fresco dining and an outdoor veranda with a large terrace and corner sofa for afternoon siestas.

The Sol Alberca and Sol Playa suites have much in common. Both have a Deluxe Bedroom with a king size bed, large en suite bathroom with an oversized tub, separate double showers and a walk-in closet. Both suites also have an outdoor terrace for dining complete with a private Jacuzzi and a sofa for relaxing. (The main difference between the suites is the addition of a large television room with a sofa bed in the Sol Alberca suite).

Resort-wide facilities at Las Almandas include the oceanview Oasis restaurant, which serves a sushi, Mexican regional, Continental and American fusion cuisine; Estrella Azul, a rooftop Lounge Bar; a 60-foot freshwater swimming pool; and a kids club.
