Less than a year since its launching, more than 10,000 travel
agents in the U.S. and Canada have signed up for the Riu Partner
Club. An incentive and reward program offered by Riu Hotels &
Resorts, the Riu Partner Club is designed to help travel agents
expand their business and earn rewards for each vacation they book
at Riu properties. Regardless of hotel, room category, dates of
travel or reservation channel, Riu Partner Club members earn points
toward a free vacation for themselves.
“The response to the program has been fantastic,” reported
Graziella Vesta, director of the Riu Partner Club. “Members really
appreciate the special rates and generous point system. More than
500 agents have enjoyed week-long stays as a result of becoming
As one of the most generous reward programs, Riu awards members
earn points for each person and night booked. Agents also earn
points for groups and children over two years of age, even if the
child stays for free. “And unlike so many other reward programs,
points do not expire and there are no blackout dates,” Vesta added.
“Agents can use the points whenever they want.”
Members of the Riu Partner Club also receive special amigo
rates, exclusive offers, and up-to-date information on resort
openings, events and promotions. Even the clients of member agents
benefit as they receive a welcome gift on behalf of the agent upon
arrival at the hotel. The extremely generous program also awards
points to new Riu Partner Club members for reservations booked
three months prior to joining. Travel agents can enroll free of
charge by logging onto the Riu Web site.
The family-owned Riu Hotels & Resort was founded in 1953 in
Mallorca, Spain. The company currently operates more than 110
hotels worldwide, with 23 hotels in the Americas region, including
the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Florida, Jamaica and Mexico.
