In partnership with a selection of Los Cabos properties, Runaway is promoting several air-inclusive packages for first quarter travel. Your West Coast clients seeking a warm winter getaway will enjoy special rates and values at a collection of the wholesalers most popular Cabo resorts and hotels.

According to Mary Luz Torrico, Runaway’s director of products, Los Cabos is one of the company’s most preferred destinations in Mexico.

“What’s helping us with this market is the convenience of air service,” Torrico said. “New airlift is making Los Cabos easier to reach.”

Torrico added that the winter season is a great time to visit Los Cabos. “The weather is good and it’s not so crowded,” Torrico said. “Occupancy runs from 70 to 80 percent during the period, so there’s still room. It’s also a good time to escape cold weather. And since Los Cabos is so convenient for West Coast travelers, it’s a good getaway for four nights.”

Rates and offers are based on availability Jan. 1-March 31. The four-night air-inclusive plans are all priced per person, based on double occupancy, and include accommodations, airfare on Alaska Airlines (to/from noted points of origin) and roundtrip transfers. (Contact company for details.)

“Visitors are especially impressed with the Marquis Los Cabos,” Torrico said. “Out of all the properties featured, this one is very upscale. Each casita has a private splash pool. And they all have spectacular ocean views.”

Torrico remarked that guests appreciate special touches like having their continental breakfast delivered to the room.

“Marquis Los Cabos is a great property for honeymooners wanting privacy, yet it’s also nice for families traveling in the summer.”

Agents are reminded that bookings including Runaway’s Waiver may qualify for Runaway Rewards. When booked directly through Runaway, travel agents can also earn commissions on luaus, meal cruises, dinner shows, seaplane and helicopter tours, snorkel cruises, land tours and other specialty tours.

“Runaway has been committed to Mexico since we began business 36 years ago,” Torrico said. “The point of difference between our company and others is that we sell the entire country, not just beach resorts. We want agents to be able to provide their clients with the complete experience in Mexico.”
