Trip of a Lifetime essay contest
winner Billie J. Ruff of Travel Cafe
Travelsavers launched a Trip of a Lifetime essay contest, asking its agents around the globe to write about the once-in-a-lifetime trips they’ve experienced or arranged for their clients.
Cathy Belcher of Travel Ventures won the grand prize of two round-trip tickets on Air New Zealand for her essay entitled, "Vietnam: Yesterday and Today." Another winner, Billie J. Ruff of Travel Cafe, was awarded with an iPod Nano for her essay on her adventures in the Middle East and the Holy Land, where she travelled the King’s Highway and took her first camel ride in Petra, Jordan.
"Even in these challenging economic times, people still love to dream of trips just like these," said Nicole Mazza, chief marketing officer for Travelsavers. "Any type of marketing or publicity that keeps a travel agency in the forefront of their clients’ minds is a positive and useful effort."
