Last month, approximately 30 members from the American Society of Travel Agents’ (ASTA) Young Professionals Society (YPS) participated in a customized fam trip to Jamaica filled with site inspections, dine-arounds and excursions to popular attractions including Dunn’s River Falls and the Mystic Mountain adventure park in Ocho Rios.

“The Jamaica Tourist Board listened to what we were looking to do and crafted an itinerary that represented the diversity in accommodations, attractions and activities we want to present to clients,” said YPS chair, Jason Coleman. “Speaking personally, as someone who doesn’t sell many Caribbean land packages from the West Coast, this fam was critical for me to understand the opportunities that exist on the island.”

The YPS recently created a YouTube channel and plans to upload video from the trip as part of its new social media marketing campaign.
