Those interested in joining the travel agency industry are in luck — ASTA has released an extensive update to its guide, “Becoming a Travel Agent.” The guide, which is sponsored by Sabre Travel Network, provides inside information about the travel agency industry as well as resources to help new professionals begin their careers.

“As a travel agent myself, I know the tremendous rewards that come with the job. The opportunity to assist others in discovering the world around them and making their travel dreams a reality is deeply gratifying,” said Nina Meyer, ASTA president and chair. “As the leading travel agency association, part of ASTA’s mission is to see that the industry continues to grow and prosper and, as such, it’s vital that we continue to attract new entrants.”

The new edition features updated industry statistics, information on obtaining training and certifications and much more. www.asta.org
