The ExecConnect Elite Agent Symposium, held at the Melia Cabo Real in Los Cabos, Mexico, from May 17-20 featured numerous opportunities for travel agents and top suppliers to interact, from large general sessions to one-on-one agent-supplier meetings. Small groups of no more than 30 agents and up to seven suppliers participated in educational workshops, which included a moderated question and answer session by a TravelAge West editor as well as the opportunity for travel agents to pose their own questions and offer feedback to suppliers as well as to fellow agents.
Six unique educational workshops were offered on the Friday and Saturday of the conference: Selling International Travel, Summer Fun, Cash in on Vegas, Tailoring the Mexico Experience, Trends in All-Inclusive Resorts and Hawaii for Every Interest. Sessions covered various topics, from how to talk to your clients about safety to how to use supplier resources most efficiently.
