American Airlines announced the introduction of its new Preferred Seats program, which provides benefits for premium and full-fare customers. New Preferred Plus Seats are complimentary for Elite and full-fare customers and their travel companions, as well as active-duty military personnel and their accompanying family members. Options include window and aisle seats toward the front of the aircraft as well as exit-row seats. Non-premium customers can purchase premium seats, and prices start at $4 per segment.

The expanded seating choices are available to all customers 24 hours prior to departure through self-service check-in kiosks, phone reservations, travel agencies with direct connections to American Airline’s fares and schedules and the AA.com website. www.aa.com/seats
