Automated Commission Collector

Net Trans entered the U.S. market this week

Net Trans, a provider of commission collection services for travel agents, entered the U.S. market this week by establishing ties including a GDS link with Amadeus. The five-year-old, Tonsberg, Norway-based company, which collects commissions for “several thousand” agency outlets in Europe and the Asia/Pacific region, established a link to Amadeus for a direct handoff of hotel booking information to Net Trans computers. The GDS link allows Net Trans to reach small and midsize agencies around the world. Amadeus said it believes 18 to 20 percent of hotel commissions are not collected by agencies.
