By late 2009, MGM Mirage hopes Las Vegas visitors will be singing the praises of Aria Resort & Casino, the centerpiece of its 18-million-square-foot CityCenter Las Vegas complex on the Strip.
The property, designed by world-renowned firm Pelli Clarke Pelli, will blend modern technology with natural elements. The structure will feature two curvilinear glass towers and boast plenty of open spaces.
Inside, Aria will have a three-story lobby, a casino, numerous lounges, bars and restaurants, a spa, salon, barber shop, fitness room and a total of 4,004 guestrooms, 568 of which will be suites.
Aria will present a brand-new Cirque du Soleil show inspired by the music of Elvis Presley and will also house 300,000 square feet of meeting and convention space. Along with the rest of CityCenter, Aria is scheduled to open late next year.
