Following a short illness, 22-year cruise industry veteran Richard “Dick” Knott passed away on Nov. 4.

Over the course of his long career, Knott worked in sales and marketing for such companies as Norwegian Cruise Line, Holland America Line and Delta Queen Steamboat Co. He also acted as president of Dolphin Cruises and senior vice president of Seawind Cruises. Most recently, however, Knott was vice president of operations for the website GuestGhosts.com, a review site that rates travel industry entities such as hotels and restaurants.

Knott is survived by his wife, Pam, his five children and seven grandchildren.
