Disney executives discussed the addition of Fantasy Faire to Fantasyland at Disneyland during a press conference this month. An extension of Fantastyland, Fantasy Faire, opening in March, will provide guests with the opportunity to interact with Disney princesses in a storybook setting. A highlight of the experience is the Royal Theatre, which will be home to two shows presented by Mr. Smythe and Mr. Jones, a pair of vaudeville-style Renaissance storytellers.
“I hope guests will walk away with the ability to love a little more and laugh a little more,” said Christopher Utley, show director for Disneyland Resort Entertainment.
Another new addition to the park is Mickey’s Magical Map in the Fantasyland Theatre. The new show features Mickey Mouse in his role as the sorcerer’s apprentice and a map that can take dreamers to any place imaginable.
