Dolce Hotels and Resorts has appointed James Bennett vice president of sales for North America. Bringing to his new position a long track record of sales experience for major hotels, Bennett will strategically lead Dolce’s North American properties and work to further develop customer relationships.

Bennett comes to Dolce from Starwood Hotels & Resorts in New York, where he led the New York City Metro Market, organizing and executing the sales transformation of 11 hotel sales teams and helping to produce over $500 million in revenue. Before Starwood, Bennett served as director of the Association Sales Team for Marriott International, managing a sales staff that produced $250 million in revenue annually. From 2005–2008, he was vice president of revenue development at Experient Inc. in Atlanta, where he helped in a merger that united three companies.

“He brings a wealth of experience in leadership and training as well as strong relationships with corporate and conference organizers,” said Barry Goldstein, Dolce’s chief revenue officer. “We look forward to Jim taking our North American sales efforts to the next level.”
