Miki Wakai has joined the Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) as tourism brand manager for the Japanese market. In her new position, Wakai will work closely with Hawaii Tourism Japan in order to increase demand and revenues. She recently lead sales efforts with Hilton Grand Vacation Club, growing brand presence in Korea, Japan and the U.S.
“Miki will be a tremendous asset,” said Mike McCartney, president and CEO of the HTA. “Her experience will be valuable as we look at innovative ways to reach 2 million Japanese visitors by 2016.”
