The governor of Hawaii, Linda Lingle, and the Hawaii State Senate have named Patrick Fitzgerald as the newest board member of the Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA). With this four-year term, Fitzgerald fills a vacancy that was previously held by former Hawaii Mayor Stephen Yamashiro.
Fitzgerald brings 20 years of tourism experience to the board. As president and CEO of both Four Seasons Resort Hualalai and Kona Village Resort, he was responsible for overseeing the properties’ asset management, real estate development, sales and marketing and overall operations.
Previously, Fitzgerald served as the president and managing director of Ocean Colony Partners, L.P., owners of California’s Half Moon Bay Golf Links. He currently serves as the president of the Kohala Coast Resort Association and is a member of the board of directors for the Hualalai Ohana Foundation.
