DISNEY MAKES DREAMS COME TRUE
The stars turned out on July 16 to support a special Make-A-Wish
Foundation fundraiser aboard the Disney Magic cruise ship in San
Pedro, Calif. To start the evening’s events, Disney CEO Michael
Eisner presented a $1 million dollar check raised by that evening’s
event to the foundation. COO and CEO-Elect Bob Iger then presented
a surprise second check for an additional $1 million from Disney to
match the funds raised.
Thirty Southern Californian children had their wishes come true
during the night’s festivities. Highlights of the fundraiser
included a book signing by 14-year-old Travis Flores, who wished to
be an author, and Ashley Gullap, age 12, who wished to meet Disney
Channel star Raven.
