Disneyland’s It’s a Small World has reopened with a slightly new look.
Earlier this month, Disneyland reopened the iconic It’s a Small World attraction after the ride had been closed for renovations for several months. Renovations include a new scene titled "Spirit of America," musical enhancements and new costumes for some of the attraction’s most familiar dolls, all of which closely follow the ride’s original design and concept.
With the new enhancements, riders will now spot a total of 29 Disney and Disney/Pixar characters throughout the attraction. In the Middle East scene of the ride, for example, the dolls are dressed as Aladdin and Jasmine from the Disney film "Aladdin."
The ride has a long and storied history. It first appeared as an exhibit at the 1964-65 New York World’s Fair and was later moved to Disneyland in 1966.
Through April 30, Disneyland Resort is also offering special vacation packages as low as $68 per person, per day, with its Everyone Plays for the Kid’s Price package. The promotion includes two-nights’ hotel accommodation at a nearby Good Neighbor Hotel, three-day Park Hopper tickets, early Disneyland park admission and preferred seating at select attractions and restaurants.
