Jet Airways VP Retires

Zainul Al Junied, vice president, Western U.S., recently retired from Jet Airways.

Zainul Al Junied, vice president, Western U.S., recently retired from Jet Airways. Al Junied has had a distinguished career of more than 40 years in the civil aviation industry. Before Jet Airways, he was with Singapore Airlines, in key positions all over the world.

Al Junied started with Jet Airways in 2007, when the airline began its North American operations. That year, the airline started service to four North American gateways (Newark, New York, Toronto and San Francisco). His leadership, experience and hard work made this challenging feat possible.

"He has worked relentlessly and done a remarkable job, not only in opening new routes, but also in building a strong organization," said Nikos Kardassis, head of the Americas, Jet Airways. "His contribution, in this short span of time, to Jet Airways' North American presence has been enormous."
