Two more cruise lines have canceled upcoming Asia itineraries due to the SARS scare.

Crystal Cruises said it is canceling three cruises in Asia, beginning with its April 15 12-day cruise aboard the Crystal Harmony from Tianjin (the port of Beijing) to Yokohama. Also canceled were the 15-day cruise beginning April 24 from Beijing to Yokohama, and the subsequent 15-day May 9 transpacific cruise from Yokohama to Vancouver. The reason, according to Crystal, was a "high rate of cancellations" by passengers.

ResidenSea said that it would redeploy The World this spring to the west coasts of the U.S., Mexico and Canada rather than in Asia. The World was scheduled to sail from Australia to Asia beginning April 24. Instead, the ship will sail from Cairns April 24 and cross the Pacific to Los Angeles and begin sailing southbound and northbound along the coast until July 11.
