Los Cabos Welcomes Increased Airlift

The Los Cabos Convention & Visitors Bureau has announced the launch of several new nonstop flights to San Jose del Cabo International Airport from Orange County, Calif., and Chicago, Ill.

In December, AirTran Airways announced new nonstop service to Los Cabos from Orange County beginning June 3. AirTran’s new flight service to Los Cabos will be available daily, seven times per week. Flights depart Orange County at 2:18 p.m., arriving at 5:35 p.m. Return flights leave San Jose Del Cabo at 6:25 p.m., arriving in Orange County at 7:45 p.m.

Frontier Airlines’ new nonstop service to Los Cabos from Chicago will be available once per week on Saturdays. The new flights complement existing Frontier Airlines service from Denver, Colo., and Kansas City, Mo.

Residents of Canada can take advantage of increased airlift from Sunwing Airlines, WestJet and Air Canada. All three carriers feature nonstop service from a variety of Canadian airports, including Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta; Vancouver and Kelowna, B.C.; Montreal, Quebec; Regina and Toronto, Ontario; and Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Frontier Airlines began its new route on Feb. 11 and AirTran Airways’ will launch its new service to Los Cabos on June 3. www.time2cabo.com
