Last month, MGM Mirage shareholders approved a proposal to rebrand the hospitality company’s name from MGM Mirage to MGM Resorts International.
“We believe this evolution honors our entertainment heritage, better represents the growing global presence our company has today and positions us to move forward under a unified brand strategy,” said Jim Murren, chairman and CEO. “The new MGM Resorts International name will create better clarity and awareness for our collection of assets globally thereby maximizing our best-in-class portfolio of resorts.”
MGM is also relaunching its Players Club loyalty program under a new umbrella brand called M Life. The new M Life Players Club is scheduled to roll out later this summer in regional U.S. markets and in the fall for Las Vegas. www.mgmresorts.com
