Trafalgar Tours President John Martinen stepped down from his position last week.

Day-to-day operations will be managed by Gavin Tollman, president of Trafalgar’s parent company TravCorp USA, until a replacement for Martinen is named. Martinen took the position in August 2001.

Fay Pickersgill, Jamaica’s director of tourism, is ending her term at the Jamaica Tourist Board after serving for nine years. The director said she won’t be available for renewal of her contract, which expires in January. Pickersgill, who has held the post since 1994, said she would take vacation leave starting Nov. 1.

Her departure comes during a period of turmoil at the New York office, which is being audited due to allegations of fiscal impropriety.
