The Caribbean Hotels and Tourism Association (CHTA) has named David Callaghan Allied Member of the Year for his ongoing support of the Caribbean hospitality industry.


The Caribbean Hotels and Tourism Association (CHTA) has named David Callaghan Allied Member of the Year for his ongoing support of the Caribbean hospitality industry.

Callaghan, vice president of resort sales and service for Interval International, has been involved in a number of initiatives to support of the association including planning the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference and supporting the CHTA Education Foundation.

"David Callaghan has been a tireless individual who continues to support our member programs and he has always given of his own time and energy to assist CHTA with a number of endeavors over the years," said Alec Sanguinetti, director general and CEO of CHTA. "His contribution in developing the concept and programming for the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference is commendable and his ongoing support for the CHTA Education Foundation has been a major factor in allowing the Foundation to increase the annual number of scholarships awarded to Caribbean students seeking a career in tourism."

Callaghan has been a long standing member of CHTA.
