Mark Hoffmann recently was recognized by NTA for his advocacy work on behalf of the travel industry. Hoffman, president of Sports Leisure Vacations in Sacramento, Calif., received the James D. Santini Award at the association’s Grassroots Congressional Travel Summit in Washington, D.C.

According to Steve Richer, the director of NTA’s advocacy work in Washington, Hoffman keeps the association focused on government relations and has been a strong advocate for tourism and meeting with officials in California and the capitol.

“We’re doing what a lot of people on this planet can never do,” Hoffmann said. “I enjoy working with Republicans, Democrats and Independents because we all have common ground.”
