The only direct flights available from the West Coast to India,
the new service will reduce flying time by several hours. The
flights will be operated by Boeing 747-400s with flatbed seats
sometimes featured in first class.
“The expansion of our service to Los Angeles is a vital move for
Air-India,” said Seema Andhare, the airline’s regional director for
the U.S. and Canada.

The new flight will depart LAX every Wednesday, Friday and
Sunday, at 7:10 p.m., arriving in Mumbai at 3:45 a.m. two days
later, local time.
The return flight departs Mumbai at 7:10 a.m. and arrives at LAX
at 4:35 p.m. the same day.
