New Management at Creative Leisure

Samson takes over as president, CEO; Henze will remain 'actively involved'

A group of travel industry executives has purchased a “significant’ stake in Petaluma, Calif.-based Creative Leisure International, a privately-held company owned by Peter Henze.

Frank Samson, a senior executive at Uniglobe Travel International and founder of InHouse Travel Group, and Tony McKinnon, president of Amadeus North America, are the lead investors of the group. Samson will assume the position of president and CEO of Creative Leisure, and McKinnon will join the company’s board of directors.

Henze will remain actively involved in the company’s business development, a statement said.

Creative Leisure’s current president and CEO, Fred Filippi, will assist in the transition and then leave the company.
