New Resource for Home-Based Agents

'The Nest' is latest marketing group to target these agents

Beginning next month, home-based travel agents will have another resource, as the first and only marketing group exclusively for home-based agents opens for business. Called The Nest, the organization will focus “entirely on helping home-based agents achieve greater success financially, professionally and personally by championing solutions and opportunities just for them,” according to a company press release.

The company will be headed by Stuart Cohen, a longtime travel-industry insider. Previously, Cohen has held posts at Insight Vacations, and Travelsavers. Cohen has also worked at several cruise lines including Celebrity, Princess and Costa.

Among other things, the company says it will provide agents with sales and marketing assistance, networking assistance and greater access to supplier discounts and promotions.

“Our goal is to be a major player in this market segment,” Cohen stated in the release. “We will be the go-to company for home-based agents.”

Agents wishing to become members must be home-based, independently owned and operated, registered to book directly with suppliers and generate a designated, minimum amount of preferred supplier sales.
