Northstar and Leonardo Team Up

Joined efforts will produce the industry’s largest database of travel content

Northstar Travel Media (parent company of TravelAge West), has partnered with Leonardo, a leader in travel content management, to provide a new suite of rich content solutions for the travel industry. The partnership combines Leonardo’s image content databases with Northstar’s textual/destination databases into the travel industry’s largest database of travel content (images, hotel text and destination content). The database is constantly refreshed and will contain content for over 80,000 hotels (50,000 with images) and text for over 25,000 cities worldwide. In early 2005, the partnership will introduce Travel MediaBank, which will allow hotels to upload, manage and distribute their content online to GDSs, electronic channels and travel Web sites, as well as to traditional print partners.
