Northstar Travel Media, parent company of TravelAge West, has partnered with independent e-book publisher, RosettaBooks to introduce a new travel guide series, “Destination,” for leisure and business visitors.

“Destination” is a selection of travel guides that provides informative content on destinations such as Istanbul, Barcelona, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Mykonos and more. The initial launch, available exclusively on Kindle through Amazon, offers 32 travel destinations worldwide with a focus on summer travel.

The e-books were created using Northstar’s destination information and hotel reviews previously available to the public only through travel professionals who subscribe to Northstar’s online products. The e-books, which are shortened versions of Northstar’s full, in-depth reports, are written by local experts in a conversational tone and are unbiased.

“As the leaders in their fields, Northstar and RosettaBooks provide a perfect partnership,” said Thomas Kemp, chairman and CEO of Northstar. “RosettaBooks’ new short e-books for Kindle are an ideal and convenient way for consumers to gain direct access to Northstar’s professional travel guides.”

In every guide, readers will find recommendations for a range of sightseeing options; notable restaurants with a focus on local cuisine; shopping selections with specialty shops highlighted for local items, food and gifts; ratings and reviews of hotels in a variety of price ranges; a list of leading travel agents who specialize in each destination; and more.

Priced at $2.99, the e-books are designed for traveling readers and are available through Amazon.com. Books can be read on any of Kindle’s e-reader formats including on iPhone, iPod, iPad and Android devices.
