Pleasant to Leave Caribbean

Pleasant Holidays “will refocus and concentrate our efforts on our larger and more well-established destinations.”

Pleasant Holidays, which entered the Caribbean market two years ago, plans to pull out of the region by the end of the year. Although the operator will continue to accept new bookings for travel through Dec. 15, President Tim Irwin said Pleasant Holidays “will refocus and concentrate our efforts on our larger and more well-established destinations of Hawaii, Mexico, the South Pacific and Asia.” All clients currently booked with Pleasant Holidays will be protected through the Dec. 15 cut-off, as are agent commissions. Pleasant served Aruba, the Bahamas, the Cayman Islands, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Puerto Rico and St. Lucia.
