Richard Baker Assumes Expanded Role

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG) has announced the promotion of Richard Baker to executive vice president, operations director, the Americas, effective immediately. In his expanded role, Baker will be responsible for the operations of all Mandarin Oriental hotels in the Americas and will provide operational input to the hotel group’s properties under development in the region. He will continue to stay based out of the MOHG’s San Francisco office.

Baker joined MOHG in May 2006 as general manager, corporate and, prior to joining the hotel group, held senior management positions with Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

MOHG now operates, or has under development, 42 hotels representing more than 10,000 rooms in 27 countries, with 18 hotels in Asia, 12 in the Americas and 12 in Europe, Middle East and North Africa.
