Runaway Adds to ‘Rewards’ Plan

New program is designed to offer agents more rewards as well as offer clients special rates and added value

Runaway Tours has enhanced the incentive offerings in its Runaway Rewards program by introducing Reap the Rewards.

The new program is designed to offer agents more rewards as well as offer clients special rates and added value through the Seize the Savings program for fall 2002.

In addition to providing travel agents with the customary Runaway Rewards of $10 per each qualified booking (paid out in increments of five bookings), Runaway’s hotel partners are also offering exclusive incentives through the Reap the Rewards program as an enticement to sell FIT packages during late summer through the fall.

For example, when booking rooms at any Starwood property via Runaway through Sept. 30, travel agents will receive an additional $10 cash reward for three-night stays and $25 cash per five-night stay.

Also, when booking five nights at any Aston property through Dec. 22, agents will receive an additional $25 cash reward (with the exception of the Aston Waikiki Beach Tower, where agents get an extra $50 per five-night stay). And for each night booked, agents will receive 9,000 Amigos Points at Melia Hotels and 15,000 Amigos Points at any of the Paradisus Hotels.

Additionally, Runaway is compensating travel agents with additional rewards, which are combinable with the cash awards, such as:

" Four qualified bookings: one United Airlines ticket (for Hawaii bookings) or one Alaska Airlines ticket (for Mexico bookings).

" Seven qualified bookings: a second United Airlines ticket (for Hawaii bookings) or a second Alaska Airlines ticket (for Mexico bookings), plus a three-night stay at one of the participating hotels.

" Ten qualified bookings: the addition of a three-day, midsize car rental to the above rewards.
