Silversea Cuts Commissions

Cruise line says move is an effort to stay competitive

Silversea Cruises reduced its commission on non-cruise inventory, including air and pre- and post-cruise hotel bookings, from 10 percent to 5 percent. The new commission policy, the line said, “will enable [Silversea] to remain cost competitive and continue to deliver a superior luxury cruise experience.” The policy doesn’t affect the line’s 10 percent base commission on cruise sales.
