The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has announced the promotion of Serene Tan to regional director, Americas, and the appointment of Wen Jie Chio to area director, Eastern U.S. and South America.

Tan previously served as area director, Eastern U.S. and South America, and is a 12-year veteran of the STB, where she has worked in a myriad of sectors since joining the board in November of 2000. As regional director, Tan will drive all strategies and lead the STB team in the Americas region.

Chio previously held the position of STB’s senior manager, business planning and marketing, BTMICE in Singapore, developing long-term strategies for the MICE industry. She has over eight years of experience with the STB, where she has served in a variety of departments. With her new position, Chio will be responsible for promoting Singapore as a compelling destination for the Eastern region of the U.S. and South America region, both for business development and marketing initiatives.
