Starwood Clears the Way PHOTOStarwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. and its loyalty program, Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG), have announced a new partnership with Clear, allowing members to pass through airport security quickly. Clear members have their identities authenticated and, after application completion — which involves providing iris and fingerprint images — they receive a card that allows them access to special airport security lanes nationwide. Clear lanes also feature concierge staff whose assistance speeds passengers through, making passage through security more hassle-free. Lanes are already operating in airports in Atlanta; Denver; Orlando, Fla.; San Francisco; New York; and 13 other cities.

"Starwood Preferred Guest strives to discover new ways to further enhance our loyal guests’ entire travel experience," said Mark Vondrasek, senior vice president of distribution, loyalty and partnership marketing for Starwood. "With the Clear card, we can help provide our guests a speedy trip through airport security as they head to their ultimate destination, whether it be home or one of our hotels."

SPG members have already started receiving their Clear card offers, and registration can be completed through Feb. 28.
