Two new general managers have been appointed to Sun International Hotels and Resorts properties in South Africa, with Shaun Wheeler at The Palace of the Lost City at Sun City and Sherwin Banda at The Table Bay Hotel at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.

Wheeler was previously the general manager of the Table Bay Hotel, and has previously held the position of hotel manager for The Palace of the Lost City. Upon his return to the hotel, Wheeler intends to “reignite the excitement of the legacy of the Lost City that makes the hotel so unique.”

Banda joins the Sun International team from California’s Luxe Hotels, where he served most recently as the general manager of Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel. Born in Cape Town, Banda has worked internationally for the past 15 years and is excited to return home.

“I am blessed to be back in Cape Town,” said Banda. “The incredible location of the hotel makes it a pleasure to come to work.”
