Specialization, strategies dominate seminar schedule for Las Vegas conference

Challenging times call for successful sales strategies so the TravelAge West Trade Show and Conference, scheduled June 5-8 in Las Vegas, will be a showcase for creative ideas to increase profitability.

“Trek to Success: Finding Your Niche” will feature general sessions with industry experts, educational seminars, trade show exhibits and regional fam trips to help agents sell to distinct markets.

New this year is a Consultants’ Corner, where agents can arrange to meet privately with more than a dozen industry representatives from such business areas as technology, human resources, marketing and the law.

Keynote speakers include Roger Dow, senior vice president of Marriott International, and Robert Stalbaum, owner of Strategies for Success.

Seminar topics will include The Next Generation, Cruising Niches, Sell ing Fun to a Troubled World, Reaching Home-Based Agents, Building Niche Products, and Selling Skills 101.

TravelAge West is offering an early-bird registration rate of $115 through March 3, which includes admission to all seminars, exhibits, meals and fams. Later, registration will be $145.

All early-bird registrants will be entered into a drawing for free roundtrip air to the show, courtesy of America West Vacations.

Hotel and air packages are available via America West Vacations.

Room rates at the Las Vegas Hilton are $85 per night, single or double occupancy.
