The Travel Retailers Universal Enumeration (TRUE) coding system announced major changes to its 11-year-old rules for travel agencies applying for TRUE booking ID numbers. The new criteria became effective Jan. 1.

TRUE’s primary rule change removes the requirement that agencies belong to the Outside Sales Support Network (OSSN) in order to qualify for a TRUE code.

“After a decade of success with TRUE’s well-received coding system by the supplier community, it’s now time to allow agency applicants the opportunity to secure a TRUE code without the contingency of having to join OSSN as well,” said TRUE president Gary Fee.
