The charm of Saint Tropez lures A-listers
and clients alike.
It’s nothing new that celebrities flock to the glistening shores of the Mediterranean during Hollywood’s summer hiatus. But star-studded hot spot Saint Tropez positively sizzled when celeb-duo Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes cruised there in July. If your clients want to travel like these mega-celebrities, send them to the Hotel Byblos Saint Tropez, home to upscale club Caves du Roy, where A-list actor George Clooney and supermodel Kate Moss have been spotted. It’s rumored that during TomKat’s recent visit, even they weren’t A-list enough to get through the door.
The hotel is currently celebrating its 40th anniversary and is offering several packages. Clients can choose the Saint Tropez Escapade package, which includes a superior double room, breakfast buffet and Byblos gift, for $560 per night for two nights, or the Glamour package, which adds a signature cocktail and dinner at Bayader or Spoon restaurant, for $630 a night, three-night minimum. The Saint Tropez Sunset package includes the same amenities and guests will each receive a one-hour Saint Tropez Sunset restorative body massage. The package is priced at $750 per night with a minimum two-night stay. But for $3,930, clients can have it all with the hotel’s Earth and Sky package, which includes a junior suite, Byblos gift, daily buffet breakfast, a poolside catered lunch, a dinner at Bayader or Spoon, three hours of spa treatments and more.
Packages are commissionable at 8 percent for travel agents.

Where Have All the Stars Gone?
The stars are disappearing from Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. A $500 million hotel, shopping and housing project, near the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street, has resulted in the removal of 61 stars along the infamous strip of sidewalk. Clients wandering the 18-block stretch from Gower Street to La Brea Avenue in search of stars belonging to such entertainment greats as Charlton Heston, Cary Grant, Clark Gable or Frank Sinatra will have to wait until the project is completed in 2009 to see them. Not to worry however, the five-pointed memorials are stored in a secure warehouse and will be replaced.
Fancy a Game of Footsies?
Beckham is turning heads and bringing
fans to soccer in L.A.
Now that Posh and Becks have hopped the pond for Hollywood, soccer fans in the West won’t have to travel far to see the sports hero in action. Playing for L.A.’s major league soccer team, the Galaxy, soccer superstar David Beckham and his wife Victoria (“Posh Spice”) are transforming the City of Angels into the sport’s ground zero. Clients who wish to see the phenom in action should head to the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. This year’s season lasts through September and tickets are available through the Galaxy box office or Ticketmaster.
A favorite of celebrities like Cameron Diaz and Britney Spears, Santa Monica hot spot The Viceroy is the taste of the town on Tuesday nights. Clients can kick it poolside and take advantage of chef Warren Schwartz’s “Taste of Tuesday” bites and drinks from the hotel’s Whist restaurant. Every Tuesday, from 5 p.m.-10 p.m., servers circulate trays loaded with small bowls and glasses filled with various food offerings, like bacon-wrapped scallops, grapefruit aioli and shaved fennel or shrimp ceviche.
