Island Destinations unveiled its Travelers Collection 2011 -- made up of 126 exclusive hotels, resorts, villas and a private aviation service -- at an event at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City on Oct. 21. More than 200 luxury travel professionals attended the cocktail reception.

Island Destinations announced 15 new hotels and resorts in its portfolio, as well as a premier-class scheduled air service, Tradewind Aviations, and an exclusive villa collection with properties in the Caribbean, Mexico, Bali and Hawaii. Destinations represented in the entire portfolio include Bali, Dubai, Oman, Maldives, Seychelles, Hawaii, Florida, Fiji, French Polynesia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Bermuda, Bahamas and the Caribbean.

At the event, awards were also given to hotels in the portfolio that reflect exemplary service, stunning accommodations and superb amenities. The Viceroy Anguilla Resort & Residences received top honors, winning the Island Destinations 2011 Ultimate Innovation Style and Design Award.

"As experts in [the luxury] arena, we can greatly enhance the relationship between agent and resort and continually offer benefits found nowhere else," said Maurice Bonham-Carter, president and CEO of Island Destinations.
