Last month, the U.S. Tour Operators Association (USTOA) held its 40th Annual Conference on the Big Island of Hawaii. One of the highlights of the conference was the State of the Industry Panel, which was hosted by the opening session’s keynote speaker, Anita Mendiratta, a regular travel commentator on CNN. The panel brought together representatives from top tour companies, including Collette Vacations, Mayflower Tours, Pleasant Holidays, Travcoa, Travel Bound and Travel Impressions.

Among the other newsworthy developments during the conference were the results of the first-ever survey of USTOA members and the announcement of a new marketing initiative with Internet video star Matt Harding.
