Virgin Vacations recently appointed a group sales manager to work directly with agents as part of its new ‘Group Therapy’ program, aimed at assisting agents who specialize in selling group travel.
“With a focus on agents, Group Therapy will help build group business for the future. No gimmicks, just good value added to group trips that sell,” said Nigel Osborne, president of Virgin Vacations.
Program benefits for agents include access to mailers and fliers; a Web site to host the group’s page where agents desire; pre- and post-cruise vacations; and shore excursions. Also, for every 15 clients who book with Virgin Vacations, the 16th is free, giving agents an opportunity to go on an escorted tour of their choice.
Recently, Virgin Vacations launched pre- and post-cruise packages to Rome and Venice, Italy; and Barcelona, Spain, with prices starting at $749 per person. And, beginning June 10, the wholesaler will have a new hotel program that incorporates a seamless booking engine with a minimum 10 percent commission for agents. www.virgin-vacations.com
