Virtuoso Introduces Collaborative Commerce Strategy

Virtuoso welcomed its travel agency members and preferred suppliers in Madrid, Spain, for its 2011 International Symposium. Hosting approximately 400 people from 33 countries, the symposium took place April 13-17 at the InterContinental Madrid. Attendees included travel agency owners, managers and executives from some of the world's leading hotels, cruise lines and tour companies, who participated in two days of business meetings.

Virtuoso's new Collaborative Commerce strategy was the focus of the discussions. Symposium attendees also had the opportunity to explore Madrid and participate in cultural events that highlighted the beauty and history of the city.

The concept of Collaborative Commerce was introduced by keynote speaker, Nancy Gordiano. Gordiano explored the rapidly evolving landscape of the business world, crediting exponential changes in technology, culture, information and techniques for the need to keep pace with means of communicating with customers.
