AmaWaterways will relocate its 150-passenger AmaDagio to the Rhone River in Southern France beginning with the 2012 season. The ship will sail a seven-night itinerary between Lyon and Arles, France, (or the reverse) itinerary from late March through the end of the year as part of the line’s Provence and Spain river cruise vacation program, which includes a three-night stay in Paris, a transfer on a high-speed TGV train, a cooking demonstration in Lyon and three nights in Barcelona.
“We are extremely happy that our guests in France will be able to travel the Rhone on a ship that we custom-designed and built ourselves,” said president Rudi Schreiner. “The AmaDagio will enable us to deliver the premium onboard experience, and provide the same high level of amenities and services that our passengers have come to expect from an AmaWaterways cruise on the Danube and Rhine.”
