Korean Air now operates three nonstop flights from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Sao Paulo, Brazil’s Governor Andre Franco Montoro International Airport (GRU) every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The service, which began last Monday, utilizes Boeing 777-200 planes outfitted with lie-flat sleeper seats in premium classes and on-demand movies and music for all three classes of service. Flights depart every night at 7:30 p.m. from LAX and are scheduled to arrive in Sao Paulo at 11 a.m. the next morning. Return flights from Sao Paulo take off on Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays at 1:30 p.m. and are scheduled to land at LAX at 9:30 p.m. the same day.
“Korean Air’s nonstop flight between LAX and Sao Paulo is a key route for people who want to conduct business in South America’s largest city,” said John Jackson, Korean Air director of sales and marketing for the Americas.
As of now, Korean Air is the only airline providing nonstop service between Los Angeles and Brazil.
