Tour Operators Expand Group Travel Offerings

Clients have more FIT and escorted tour offerings in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia

Tour operators continue to expand, adding new destinations, itineraries and accommodations for 2012. Here are some current top picks for travel to the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia. 

Seattle With Pleasant Holidays
In the U.S., Pleasant Holidays has added Seattle, the 25th city in the company’s continental U.S. portfolio. The Seattle product includes seven hotels as well as private and shared airport transportation and Hertz car rentals from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. 

Seattle hotels include Crowne Plaza Hotel Seattle, Grand Hyatt Seattle, Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Seattle – City Center, Holiday Inn Seattle, Sheraton Seattle, The Edgewater and The Westin Seattle.

Canada With Anderson Vacations
And, in Canada, clients can find new escorted tour offerings from Anderson Vacations. The tour operator has launched Labrador & the Best of Newfoundland’s Great Northern Peninsula, a 14-day itinerary that begins at $3,395 per person. Highlights of this tour include visits to the Garden of the Glaciers, Muskrat Falls, Gros Morne National Park as well as a boat tour. Bookings made 60 days prior to departure receive a $150 early booking discount and bookings made 45 days preceding departure receive a $75 discount. 

Also new in Atlantic Canada is the Great Atlantic Canadian Experience, a 20-day itinerary that starts at $4,899 and the Atlantic Maritimes Tour, which begins at $2,231, per person for a 10-day tour.

Europe With Monograms
In Europe, Monograms has added to its all-in-one vacation packages with six new itineraries for 2012. These include Rome & Sicily, a seven-day itinerary that begins at $1,925; London, Paris & Rome, a 10-day itinerary that begins at $2,687; and London, Paris, Barcelona & Madrid, a 13-day package that begins at $3,620. Also new for Monograms is Rome, Florence, Venice & Lake Maggiore, a 13-day vacation that begins at $3,871 and includes visits to the Sistine Chapel, the Colosseum, the Academy of Fine Arts, St. Mark’s Square and the Gardens of Isola Bella. 

All prices listed are per person and land-only. Any 2012 Monograms Europe vacation package booked by Feb. 14 will receive a savings of $200 in airfare, per person.

Asia With Cox & Kings
Cox & Kings is taking clients to Asia on its new Discovery Group Journeys, escorted value vacations that take up to 25 travelers on trips that are typically guaranteed departures. New trips in Asia include the Grand Tour of Indochina, a 19-day itinerary that travels from Laos to Cambodia and begins at $5,885 per person, based on double occupancy. In India, Cox & Kings is offering the Grand Tour of North India, a 14-day journey that visits the Taj Mahal and cruises the Ganges. Prices begin at $3,820 per person, based on double occupancy.
