North America
Tauck has added accommodations at Le Parker Meridien to its six-day Family Fun in the Big Apple tour, starting at $2,797.

South America
Clients interested in mountain biking and surfing tours through Costa Rica and Nicaragua have a choice of four new modules by Access Trips, starting at $1,240.

Europe
Trafalgar recently unveiled its 2012 Italy brochure, which offers 20 itineraries including the 11-day family trip, Gladiators, Gondolas and Gold, which starts at $2,799.

Australia
The Great Southern Rail is offering savings of up to 20 percent for bookings made before March 31 for The Southern Spirit, a six-day trip from Adelaide to Brisbane.

Asia
On the new 14-day Philippines Adventure tour by G Adventures, clients visit Manila, Cebu, Bohol and more, with prices starting at $2,699.


Classic Updates Hawaii Promotion

For 2012, Classic Vacations is offering more savings and new partners for Hawaii bookings through its Head Over Heels promotion. The promotion includes 45 participating properties for bookings made before Dec. 31. Savings include an airfare credit of up to $400 for four nights or more on Oahu or Lanai and $500 for stays of five nights or more on Maui, Hawaii Island or Kauai. All bookings receive a $100 Classic Vacations credit. The promotion also includes savings on Hertz and Alamo car rentals.

Pleasant Unveils NYC Portfolio
Pleasant Holidays continues to expand its continental U.S. offerings with the launch of its New York City portfolio. Pleasant offers a choice of 16 hotels and private and shared transportation to and from New York and New Jersey airports.

“New York City is one of the largest tourism markets in the world with almost 50 million total visitors annually, so this is an important part of our long-term continental U.S. product strategy,” said Jack E. Richards, president and CEO.

Pleasant’s hotel offerings include Mondrian SoHo, The Westin New York at Times Square and The Plaza Hotel. Airfare and Hertz car rentals can also be added to New York City hotel packages. Three-night land-only packages start as low as $331 for Hudson hotel packages.

A&K Launches Airport Concierge Service
Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) unveiled its new travel assistance service, called A&K Airport Concierge. The new program offers airport assistance for arrivals and departures including a meet and greet from the plane, transfers from the airport to the hotel, check-in and luggage assistance as well as access to all lounge facilities regardless of ticket class. Other services include city orientation tours and chauffeured drivers. Airport meet and greet prices begin at $200; lounge access begins at $30; chauffeur transfers begin at $53, per vehicle; and city tours start at $36 per person.

Funjet Adds Commission Protection
Funjet Vacations’ Complete Coverage plan has been replaced by the All-In-One Travel Protection plan, which offers travel insurance for clients as well as commission protection for agents.

Under the new plan, agents will not lose out on commission for canceled reservations. The All-In-One Travel Protection covers commission up to $100 per room. In the case of a cancelation, agents will receive their commissions in one refund request.

Clients can still expect the same pre-trip and during-trip travel insurance, including full refunds, no revision fees, hurricane benefits as well as the same price for the coverage.
