Volunteer Vacations for Animal Lovers
For animal lovers seeking to make their tour count, GoVolunteering is offering animal and conservation projects for 2012. From sharks to elephants, volunteers can choose a project in a variety of locations working with a diversity of wildlife.

Some of the most popular projects include strengthening populations of wild panda in China and protecting sea turtles and their nesting sites in Costa Rica. On the Trail of Giant Panda takes place at two nature reserves where volunteers help monitor mother pandas and newborn cubs for one to two weeks, starting at $1,500. The Costa Rica Sea Turtle Volunteer Vacation involves patrolling beaches where sea turtles are nesting and helping to collect data on giant leatherback turtles. The program lasts one to two weeks and costs $1,000-$1,500.

Pleasant Holidays Tours Continental U.S.
Pleasant Holidays has released its 2012-2013 Continental USA brochure, expanding to 30 cities and 215 hotels throughout the continental U.S. New cities include Boston; Chicago; Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; New Orleans; New York City; Seattle, Wash.; and many more.

The new brochure features pre- and post-cruise vacations near the country’s largest cruise ports, including hotels, car rentals, activities and attractions. Agents can add a one-night hotel stay before or after cruises to ensure that clients don’t miss departure or connecting flights. Packages also include roundtrip flights from nationwide cities on a variety of airlines.

In addition, travel agents earn TRIP (Travel Rewards Incentive Program) points for all continental U.S. bookings, plus commission on air, hotel, car rentals and destination activities. Points can be redeemed for personal travel to any Pleasant Holidays destination.
