Editors Pick Nominees
Every year, the editorial team at TravelAge West, headed by Editor-in-Chief Ken Shapiro, reviews hundreds of travel suppliers and products. Review methods include product analysis, on-site visits, a travel agent survey and online research. After careful consideration, a list of “Editor’s Pick” nominees, in a variety of categories are confirmed.

Trendsetter Awards
Every year, TravelAge West also honors leading travel agents in the Western United States with its Trendsetter Awards. The agents honored all display an innovative, entrepreneurial spirit that enables them to adapt to new business landscapes — an essential skill in the ever-changing travel industry.

WAVE Awards Voting
“Editor’s Pick” nominees are then placed on an official WAVE ballot and disseminated to TravelAge West readers. The ballot is also printed in the two April issues of TravelAge West, posted on the www.travelagewest.com and promoted via email communications to travel agents in the 14 Western United States. The voting window is open April 1-30, 2013.

WAVE Awards & Gala
Once the votes are tabulated and confirmed, WAVE Award winners are announced and celebrated at the WAVE Gala Dinner held on June 6, 2013 at The Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles in Beverly Hills.

WAVE Awards Marketing Center
Every June, TravelAge West publishes a special WAVE Awards Spotlight, detailing the Editor’s Pick nominees WAVE Award Winners. The special issue also include WAVE Gala event coverage, photos and stories about the companies recognized.
Additionally, TravelAge West provides a number of tools and resources in our WAVE Marketing Center to better help our nominees promote their accomplishments.
